June 20th , a bunch of us went up to Nahatlatch for 4 days of good times, exploration and relaxation.
What a beautiful area , so clean , quiet and full of surprises; abandoned ranger/trapper cabins, waterfalls, beavers swimming across the lakes, coloneis of butterflies and the occasional roar/growl in the alpine/bush....
Here are the pics
Looks like ya had a good time,I used to go there a lot before they built
the bridge, you crossed the Fraser one car at a time in a cage hang'n on
Pulled nice Dollies out of the river at the top of the lake.
Thanks for the pic's[cheers]

I only saw one rod in all those pics. How's you make out on the fishin?

We actually had three rods , using mosquito flies and salmon roe, but no bites.
Found out later that the fish are fed well, from the freshwater shrimp and when the water is as high as it was, they feed on bugs off the banks and top of the water.
Looking forward to this weekend , maybe do the Vedder or Jones lake.

Yeah at every forestry site (free) or $5/night if the Native Indian guy comes around (we paid 5$ each for 3 nights) had a toilet, beachfront property.
We could have even stayed at the Ranger Cabin. A little too eery for the gals ,so we stayed on the beach.
Nahatlatch Lake site where we were at is super nice, as well as Squakam Camp ground . I have all the directions and km marks , in my "Camp Free in BC book" , so if you need let me know.

Nice pics. I stayed in the same spot 2 weeks ago. I have a hard time paying to camp there, mostly because there are no services or amenities provided. It's a beauty spot and we were the only boat on the lake. You should try out the river rafting next time you're there the company is called REO Rafting and they'll show you a hell of a time for a decent price.

theres a trail up towards the end , u may have been on it to see the falls but it goes higher up to a alpine lake

I did go up about 5 k up the Grizzly Falls road up up up into the Alpine to snow level. Met up with a wash out bridge , with a deep access point through the creek , but no way I was making it past. There were numerous little falls up in the Alpine , but I didnt want to go further as I was the only truck on the trip up.
Would have been nice to find that lake , though.....
