Is there a quick way to identify the transmission, transfer case, axles in my truck? Something from the VIN, or stamped into the castings?

the tranny will have a number on the side just above the tranny pan the t-case should have a tag on the back side close to the filler hole and the axels are probably a D44 front and a D60 semi floating or a 9 3/4

w150 will be a D44 front (Five bolt) and the rear will be a 9 3/4 (Five bolt) [I believe, don't quote me on the front axle though)

3/4 tons got D44 (ate lug) and D60

one tons (Like mine :D) got D60 / D60

Well the dealer was usless, appearantly they can only go back to 1990, or so say Maple Ridge Chrysler.

Im gonna go ahead and call it a Dana44 up front and pickup a Hub socket so i can change the rotors. They need to be done quite badly.
