View Full Version : Not a perfect dads day

Well after reading other threads of Fathers Day, I'd start one myself. The old mans birthday was May 11 and with fathers day around the corner, figured I would take him out on a fishing charter (two birds one stone). Good friend of mine takes his dad and kids every year and we got invited along. Before I go further, we had a good day.......but. started out everyone happy excited were goin' fishn'. Got pretty rough coming around Stanley park over to West Van. The pics will tell the rest. All in all agood day minus some ups and downs, pardon the pun.

Like I said everyone happy

Not feeling so good

What comes next - total witches of eastwick just ate a bunch of red grapes[14]

Next up - him too

And as it was start of commercial crab fishing there were more traps that you could watch for- thus the rope in the wheel and having to wait for a run in from another boat

Got skunked, kids felt better, got some crab, good charter, great weather and some time with my dad and my kid, oh and a good friend to split the cost with a good day.

It was agood fathers day just had some speed bumps. I use to commercial fish off west coast Vancouver Island now those are big seas. Watch the horizon and it all goes away.
