I see the post said nothing hardcore. Long arms and or Rubicon express are not tame or cheap, SYE kit and CV rear driveshaft would bring the cost of this mod to minimum $2000 if you do the install. Hire someone to do it and add another $1000. Buddy can get a 2.5 spring spacer kit and shocks for $350 ish and a 1-1.5 Body lift and run 33's for trails and mild wheeling for less than $450, and it will still go pretty darn good. If theres deep pockets and lots of money to spend I would recommend the Full Traction Extreme 4". dont forget $1000 for new 33's plus $400 to infinity for new rims. I ran the budget boost and body lift for years, works great and lots of fun.

I agree with blunty, sure you can make a super hardcore unit..but he just 'wants some extra clearance for some trails'..

Budget boost on those units is to buy new 3inch coils for the front and swap your stock fronts to the back..

Budget lifts suck ass!! If your buddy is going to lift it do it right the first time, Rubicon Express is the way to go. They do make other kits besides the long arm you know. Have a look here http://www.rubiconexpress.com/ then go shopping at the outlet of your choice [cheers]

I say budget boost, 33's,and unbolt your sway bars before you go offroad.
