to start its a 95 ford 150, 302 with a 5 speed standard. i was wheeling the other day and the shifter was spinning all the way up to the dash. i could still hunt and find gears but then on the way down it completely stuck in second gear. i pulled the top of the tranny off and the pins to hold the shifter from spinning were sheared. so after trying everywhere in town with no luck finding the pins i modified some bolts to fit in but i still wont move. has anyone had this problem before?????????????

yep..

so basically you need to make sure the shift collars are all in the neutral position (not engaging any gears) and the shift forks are all in their neutral position (middle) and then reassemble...

I think everyone has had this problem before. My 92 F-150 did this, got stuck in 4th. Swapped towers from a parts truck and it was all good.
