I think Nutbar narrowed the front D60 on his Jeep but it cost a fortune

Rotating the knuckles is the better way. This usually costs approx $550.00 plus axles.

he said narrow not cut and turn.

make sure to only narrow the long side of the front. and if you narrow only one side of the rear they will both be offset to the same side like older landcruisers.[36] it will give you more ground clearance on one side  you can find blank front inner axles on the internet for about $200 and then another $50 to get it cut and splined to your new length.

I've pondered using dually wheels to make the fullsize narrower.

wtf are you talking about?!

78bronco asked about narrowing a front diff. 429orangepeel told him to "rotate the knuckles". its not even the same topic. if you rotate the knuckles its not gonna get any narrower. 2 totally different procedures.

When you cut off the knuckles then you shorten axle tube then you reweld the knuckles to the right caster DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I actually had a friend that builds pro mod chassis and sheet metal rear end housings shorten mine for me but I was also changing the side the pumpkin was on so it was a little more involved he cut off and swapped the tubes side for side and sleeved rewelded the tubes back in at my specs for pumpkin center and over all 5 inches narrower than stock

to simply narrow the diff just cut the knuckle off and shorten the tube and press and weld the knuckle back on, or both knuckles if ya gonna rotate the housing as well.
