So i'm trying to keep all my options open for a 4x4 thats good for camping and I find this one???? I don't have a clue about Fords what so ever just wondering if this seems like a good deal? what may I have to worry about here?

I just sent him a email offering him $500 for it. I noticed he has posted it 4 times in the past bit and he was originally asking 2k

That's been for sale for a while now. Might be due to some major issues. If it's still got the dana 28 and 7.5 and you plan to wheel it, I'd steer clear because you'll be popping u-joints and snapping axles like crazy.

murdumb, wheelin?

it won't start, been sitting for awhile, and needs air care. I'd keep looking

The guy claims he just needs the relay from the battery fixed and it's good to go SURE [15][15][15]

hmm 1983 u will have nothing but probs... those carbed engines are junk.

drop a v8 and 44 and 8.8 and all would be good but if the 2.8 is in gooder shape replace the carb and distributor and ignition box (from a mustang 2 or crapi)

06-03-2008, 06:53 PM
biggest issues with the 2.8 is the stock emissions system, its shit. like said above replace it with a duraspark system from an earlier mustang or capri 2.8L. also the dana 28 is shit too but 35s are plentiful and cheap and a bolt in. if its just a camping and light wheeler the 7.5 should be fine.
