Well, the ranger has started it's transformation from a small compact to a lifted beastie truck. Got some work today, but there's still a fair share to go.

Here she is in her pristine glory

Sizing up her stance
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7413.jpg

And she's under the knife
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7415.jpg

hmmm where to start first
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7416.jpg

things are starting to fall off it
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7418.jpg

TTB is out... mostly
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7424.jpg

getting there
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7426.jpg

a little grind here, a little air chisel there
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7429.jpg

passenger side drop is in and the brackets for the drivers are mocked up
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7430.jpg

Driver's side with e-locker ready to get thrown in
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7435.jpg

And this is where I called it a day
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/mikewild/Ranger/IMG_7438.jpg

Tomorrow I'll finish up the front end and start on the 8.8 with e-locker
she's gonna be sweet locked front & rear. I can't wait for the test run :D

is it a 4 or 6 inch lift?

If its a 6 inch...you may want to get a bigger frop pittman...I found my truck pulled hard to the left with the 6 inch bds kit

It's a 6 inch and I already got an extended pitman arm + steering stabilizer. But thanks for the tip! [cheers]

Well Dave came over to lend me a hand on Sunday and we got a lot done.
Started to install the drivers drop
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000545.jpg
Hmmmm how the hell do you install the stabilizer??
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000546.jpg
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000544.jpg
Maybe if I stare at it hard enough, I can fuse the tie rods together
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000547.jpg
Ok, there's gotta be some mention of how to install the steering stabilizer in here somewhere
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000550.jpg
Hurry up and get that damn tire on!!!! (note the lack of steering stabilizer)
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000557.jpg
Oh man, lifting trucks is sure a lot harder than clacking away at keys on a keyboard all day. I thought this was going to be as easy as cut & paste
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000559.jpg
Tightening up the tires and she's done in the front. (steering stabilizer coming soon to a picture near you)
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000562.jpg
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000561.jpg
HEY!!! Yer doing it ALL WRONG!!!
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000565.jpg
Now sitting at 42 inches on the front. We gained about 7 inches (should settle after a bit of driving though)
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000571.jpg
Whadaya Mean we gotta do the back too? Can't it be like a mullett, party in the back, business in the front?
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000574.jpg
Oh well, might as well get started
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000577.jpg
Creating the custom made lift springs for the rears (thanks Tuna)
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000578.jpg
8.8 with e-locker going in
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000579.jpg
no en den..
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000581.jpg
En done!
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000580.jpg
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/dawebpics/P1000582.jpg
had to stop there because the u-bolts weren't long enough and I needed to get extended brake lines. We took care of that yesterday and she's rolling.
Still a few doo dads to take care of like alignment, new brakes and plumb the wiring for the e-lockers. But she's a roll'en
Hopefully getting a set of bigger beefs tonight for it.
