Our tj is suckin back the fuel like a like a crack whore. It's got the little 4 banger in it and a tank about 35l. We're not even getting 200km's out of a tank. It's got the 5 speed and otherwise all stock. At this point my f350 is way cheaper to run. Any thoughts?

Well we do live in rutland.......

We put a locking gas cap on it a copuple days ago, just in case. The wife couldn't get it off. I poped it on the first shot. Laughing out loud publicly at your wife is apparently not a good form of foreplay. We have to put a new muffler on her anyways, so might just slip the cat out at the same time.

No you can't remove the cat on those things. 97 and newer Jeeps are OBD 2 fuel injection so there is a 2nd O2 sensor after the cat to moniter cat performance if the cat quits working or is removed the computer will go trouble code and go into "Limp Mode" untill the cat is replaced and the code cleared.

what is limp mode mikey and what does it do?

The ECU will see a fault with a sensor and because of the fault it cannot calculate and adapt fuel strategies properly so it goes to "limp mode" and falls back to a preprogammed fuel map that is not adaptable and usually very rich fuel mixture so that you can still drive the vehicle to a mechanic and get it fixxed without wrecking the engine

If you have no fault light on the dash, EMR-emissions maintanence reqired, SES-service engine soon, or the like then you have no issues the ECU will go to normal function but will store the code in it untill cleared with a scanner.
