what do i have do to swap a 1989 22re intake on to a 1982 22r head?is this possible or am i fuckin nuts?[cheers]

no .. it wont .. you would need to find a earlier 84 <--- EFI head .
/85 + blocks have different deck heights .. heads are also different sizes ..
you could however swap the 85+ EFI block and all .

you can bolt the efi intake to the 82head. you will just need to drill and tap 2 bolt holes that arent drilled on the 82 head. or find a 83-84 22r head, they already have the holes there and taped.

Toyotas are like leggo and mega blocks.....
They all fit together one way or another..
I've go a 1970 Toyota Celica with an 18rc and some of the parts fit my 82 22(.9)R

I have a complete 22re swap including motor and all wiring, cluster, ecu and harnesses off an 84 Celica GTS if anyone is interested. Just PM me.
