hey is it possible for me to convert a 68 ford HPD44 kingpin with drum brakes to disc and how what parts will i need if im gonna need 78 79 brake parts there is no point in me buying it but if there is somthing i can junk yard i might be intrested in it.

not worth it its not going to be high pinion either and the axles are very weak.

68 should be HP, but if it has king pins, then its closed knuckle..
HP and kingpin ' closed knuckle.. doesn't sound right for a 68.. I used to have a 66 and it was HP open knuckle drum brakes ball joint.... (66 was the first year)

was just told it was a 68 dana 44 king pin how can i convert it and is it worth it?

1/2-ton? Not worth doing anything to. Newer parts won't swap over. Get a complete newer one with discs.

ya, if its a D44 king pin with closed knuckles.. its worth its weight in scrap.
BUT, if it has like 4.10's.. keep the diff (if its 30 spline NOT 19).. the 3.92 + gear carrier can be hard to come by
