they actually even tested it with the exhaust infront of the tire?!
I thought they would just fail it for that

Well the goddamned thing failed on hydrocarbons max allowable 913
mine 2000
then I found after I have a wire grounding out and arcing on mego fuck yourself
So I'll grab the wires I have in the garage and try it then or... do I put 3 mo on it and try again after I do the engine and tranny swap :dontknow:

thats sucks dude
they should just let these old trucks slide
in the states after 25 years or somethin they eliminate the smog tests I think.
If it were me tho I'd just do the three months but thats cus I'm lazy and if ya think it would pass with new wires I would do that and pass it then you dont have to worry bout the new motor for a few months

Well I changed the wires and advanced the timing a littlehope that works any Ideas people?Cause I'm outta here by 3 to try again

so whats your timing at now?
I would retard it bringin back reduces hydro carbons by giving more time for a more complete burn I would also run a lower octane fuel as well that burns more completely in a low comp engine

dickrick

Timing is at about 3 degrees so I will retard it and it is a little late for low octane:o timing should be set at 0

I'd take it back farther maybee 10 degrees

each state is different.
right now, its 25 year old and you are clear. and testing is every 2 years. Thats for urban Washington. When you get way out of town, there is no testing at all.
got 1 more test on my pathy next year!
