its an extended 47 or 48 willys cj-2a factory long wheel base i figure it will make a good rock crawler/mud bogger. the guy thought it was a 42 but he was mistaken. :) i'm gonna be looking for some running gear soon. let me know what ya got. :)

Yes 44's would look sick on that willys. But your gonna need some 60's and a kicken smallblock to turn em.[36]

If your gonna do the work to put in a custom drivetrain i'd put some big fuckin diesel in there ! That'd be so killer... Nice diesel, d60/d70, 37's... Such a cool buy

was pushing around the idea of a diesel, but i have never seen a diesel rock crawler before. not sure how good it would be and diesels are heavy.

A diesel would problably be pretty good on angles and what not, but yea there crazy heavy. Itd be a sick rig for hill climbs though, but problably not a very capable crawler i guess

i'm thinking 400 hp at rear wheels out of a small block should be good enuf. run it on propane lol. good at any angle even upside down lol

Josh_M
03-28-2008, 11:09 PM
Haha if you can get 400hp outta propane that would be a killer rig.. get a MASSIVE tank or tanks though, because you cant take a jerry can of propane along with you very well eh?

swap your dodge junk and 44's under that thing

or put that body on your dodge and shorten the wheelbase make it fit

and a rock buggy doesn't need to be as high as my truck is.

So you went and looked at it? Does the tranny shift?

never bothered to go look just gonna buy it and peel it apart theres gonna be $100 in parts there regardless and from what the guy told me the tranny works. I will see it this weekend after i get back from Hongcouver or where ever i decide to go for my Birthday hehehe. as i'm gonna have to give buddy a hand loading it. hey how many spare tires do you have for your willys as the ones on it are flat and the beads have let loose. i have 2 spares hoping to find or borrow 2 more just to make it easier to roll.
