View Full Version : St. Agnes Misadventure
Looks like a nice day for chillin at the campsite
Weather is all right...no rain
The bear that my friend thought was a person watching us the night before
Wow...looks just like when I spun the other side...
Yup, brakes and hardware are fuckered as well(and backing plate, and seals, and bearings)
Impressed about how the rest of the weekend is going to be spent
Back at camp and packing up early
And the famous fucking bfg sidewall literally just melts away
No biggie right? This brand new tire lasted 9km. That's right. 9.
3:52 am. Roughly 9 hours to go 44km. Also the first time she's been on a tow truck I think.

DAMN!!!! thats a misadventure forsure.... good to see u made it out ok!!
cant believe the bfg only lasted 9 kms against a log....
I would have had my money it lasting longer!!! or one of the straps breaking first.....
and that pic of the BFG all melted is a good 1 forsure!!!!...
Yeah I'm surprised the straps outlasted the sidewall. Shitty deal though, guess it's good you were just on a road and not in the middle of an obstacle.

Wow! At least you finally made it out ok!

I'm thinking you don't feel the same way but a lot of my best outings were when something went wrong and I had to rig stuff up to get home. Nothing gets the adrenaline going like realizing your are totally screwed, out in the middle of nowhere and nobody's gonna come look for you for a long time. It separates the men from the boys.
Sorry about your bad luck and respect to you for getting yourself home. I know a lot of people who wouldn't even have thought of trying to rig something up.[cheers]

I have seen that ….not on just jeeps. Ask Pegleg how he got his name. Darrel put the log under his trucks where the tire was and skidded it out. I would have never thought of that.
