Hey all, I'm thinking of fabricating up a beefy bumper for my XJ while i'm saving money for the lift. Does anyone have any drawings/plans for any to use as idea's? Doesn't need to be a winch bumper because i'll be putting a reciever in it. But all idea's welcome. Pics, Plans, Drawings, anything is a help. Thx

yeah, a front bumper soon. but will end up doing the rear sometime in the future. plan on building up the front with a hitch receiver so i can mount a winch and cradle front or back, or take it off in the off season.

well they both are lookin pretty sweet.Thanks. i won't do the rear bumper with a swing away until i own tires too big to fit inside the xj. anyone one done their own front bumper?
I'm thinking of putting something similar to Mr BumbleBeeTuna's back bumper as my front bumper. with out the tire carrier of course.

Yeah. I grew up in PoCo. 22 years on Western Dr. Lots of family down there, Im down often. I been looking for one of these and I dont want to buy a Warn for $1500.00. I like the custom look stuff. I figure you got a talent for making that kind of stuff you should make some dough off it. I got another guy i Chilliwack gonna send me pics of some he makes as well.

Yes they have bearings and are greaseable, they are just like a trailer stub axle with out the flange to bolt the tire to

Thanks Mr Vic and NightCrawler. the second is more of what i'm looking for but could aways use that ARB kinda design and add the rest of it to it. Pretty sure its time to buy some steel and get at it. what do you figure? 1/4" thick bumper and receiver mounts, 3/16" thick bumper, and thick ass shackle mounts?

BushWhackXJ
