I had this same thing.... Take one front wheel off, and take the rotor and caliper off.... if you can wiggle the hub, then it is the bearing... I drove my truck a short distance with a fubared u-joint and I didn't even feel it, or hear it.

oh be prepared too.... the wheelbearing hub unit for a D30 runs about $198.00 from napa or lordco.

so you think its the bearing not the u joint?
bearing makes different kinda sound, and even when you drive straight there will br sound
but this happen only in turn

not really, my bearing only made noise when I was just starting to go backwards, or forwards. Seemed to be more noisy when my wheels where turned. staight was no sound or feel...

besides, if you take all that stuff off, it is only 3 more bolts to get the axle and u-joint out.

if it be the bearing it would be much cheaper to fix.

Bearing is about $198.00 after tax...

U joint is like $50.00 for a good greasable one.

it was the Ujoint, $50 for a pair and changed the seal that was about $200.
bearings were good
