Need to put a fuel guage on the rail and check actual pressure and volume first. You need 3 things to run, fuel, ignition and compression, not likely it lost compression on all 3 that quickly, although I've seen worn timing chains jump on start up. After that, check for signal to injectors with a noid light (Princess Auto sells cheap ones), and make sure the timing is on - would be out if timing chain jumped.

Can you hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key to power?

So you have a problem with slow turning over as well? Could be that your starter is drawing too much and the computer won't fire the vehicle cause it's not turning over fast enough?

Don't know if the newer Chev's have an ignition module or not, but my old one would always just up and quit. Would turn over and what not, just wouldn't start??? Changed the ign module and pick up coil and all was good.
