Started out something like this :

lifted it 2":
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/joshm101/Jeep_streetback.jpg

Put 2 decent lights up front :
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/joshm101/Jeep_streetfrntpassside.jpg

Threw on a new spotlight on the driver side today:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/joshm101/Jeeplights.jpg

Not too bad for a $25 light setup [36]
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/joshm101/Jeeplights2.jpg

Also put in a ghetto intake (which now has a mudguard, half toolbox style)

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/joshm101/Jeepintake-1.jpg

All ready for 31's, some bumpers im going to make and a hell of a lot of fender trimming :D:D:D

Right inside the intake. Go have a look at some filters and make up the top of your snorkel to fit it. Looks like you have a decent imagination for fabbin stuff like that.

I have my stock hole covered as well. I take my air from the back of the stock box to prevent taking water. Jeep has a silly positioning of the original.

I tell ya cutting through 3 pieces of sheet metal is a real bitch, there all spaced apart so much getting the holes somewhat aligned sucks. 03-05-2008, 11:19 PM
If you disconnect the bar it'll let the body roll more but will flex more. Have to take it easy in corners(or not) and get used to body roll. Lots of people run without them at all with no problems.

you can always just make or buy front swaybar quick disconnects. then just disconnect once you hit the trail, and throw em back on once you're back on the road.

you can just drill the stock ones and put wing nuts on em. Check this out. hope it helps. I'd say this is the cheapest, and easiest, but there's lots of ways... cheers

I dunno, how much contact are you getting.

Josh_M
03-14-2008, 10:29 PM
Umm near full steer it rubs like a mother. I wonder If i can just buy some stupid thick steel and lathe it at my school, Then drill 5 holes to bolt it onto the existing studs and just drill 5 more half way through and weld in new studs. Ideally Id like to find some shitty old rims with the proper backspacing and just paint em.

El Camino
03-14-2008, 10:39 PM
You would have to counter sink the holes, and its gonna throw off your balance. you need lightweight material. You probably be better off to go to national 4wd and get some cheap soft 8 wheels with a good offset. You can get em on sale for like 70 each.

Josh_M

Im gonna scrounge around and find something. Im not spending another 280 bucks on rims when i just spend 330 for wheels/tires. Truth is the rubbing isnt THAT bad, its bad, but not $280 bad :happy0045: Id like to find some rims that are ugly for like 30 bucks a piece or something thats more my price. Ugly and ill spray em black and call it done ya know ?
