Not for the faint of heart..

In true dumb ass fasion,, me and warlord decided to see if we could get to Skookumchuck, up harrison west.

Just a little bit of snow.. nothing to be worried about.

I couldn't plow anymore so decided to let the Jeep give her a go.. and yes.. ALL HAIL MIGHTY WARLORD.. MAKING HIGH MARK (around 28-29k)

We were makig about 6 feet progress at a time.. but something was sounding funny in the old jeep, so we said.. lets go to hail.. screw it.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0274.jpg

Um.. where did walt go?

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0266.jpg

Hey.. there are supposed to be studs holding that wheel on.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0277.jpg

Damn it was cold.. gotta love fire logs

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0278.jpg

Well, we are not going to make it to hale.. snow was 2.5 feet deep and walts tire was holding on by 2 bolts.

Dirka dirka.. down the road we went.

Made it to 15k, and then.. boom, off fell the tire. ti was getting late, so we decided to stay here for the night

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0287.jpg

Morning comes, and we get to work.. um, there were parts in there.. kinda.
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0285.jpg

As we were sitting around getting drunk.. i thought. oh wait.. I have 5 studs on my spare tire carrier.. out came 3 and back to work.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/87pathy/28k%20harrision/DSCF0288.jpg

About when we finished, steph said. Oh, i have a cell phone signal. So, to help things out, we got ahold of Bovine, and he brought a differnet wheel to the site to help eliminate the stress on the wheel (it was fixed but just barely, no street driving safe).

We got down to the fish hatchery, changed the wheel.. another stud was broken. But in anycase, this could have been really bad, if we were less prepared.

Thanks Bovine..many props buddy![cheers]

ROAD TRIP !!!!!!! and why is it the wheels always come on the drivers side??

its because of the tire rotation will spin them off, on the old dodge chargers they would have revers thread on the drivers side to prevent wheel lugs from spinning off ;)

great pics [36]its always nice to be prepared [cheers][cheers]

Hey Walt, I think I've lived that same adventure with you before...Didn't you learn form the last spudspudspudspudspud trip to check the lug nuts before you go out in the bush ? :fighting0071:
Looks like you guys had a good time.[cheers]

My friggen Jeep is the same. I have to check the lug nuts every week or 2 or they have a tendency to back off and start snapping the studs. I always find at least 1 loose.

The last time it was the front. I heard it go and pulled over to find 2 broken off and gone, 1 nut missing and the final nut was backed half off. Destroyed the uni-bearing. Another half a block and it would have come off in the middle of a busy intersection. Lesson learned.
