Does anyone on the trails run a Mazda?
I have owned a B2200 before, great little truck, I had almost 400,000 on her before I sold her, and she was still running great.

I have a guy coming to look at my F150 on Monday, and I'm looking at a 1991 Mazda B2600i 4x4, 265,000k.

This will be my daily driver as well.

Camping, fishing, hunting sure. Hard wheeling...not so much. Heard the drivetrains are good. Not alot of options for lockers in rear. No locker for IFS front.

What are lockers? Are they important?

Mazda trucks have a bullet proof engine, and drive train. I haven't done a hell of alot hard wheeling even when I had my dune buggie.. I like to get into those quiet fishing lakes (places 2wd cant). I'm not looking to rip up 1/2 of stave lake.

Google Diff Locks and see what comes up. That'll be the easiest way.

I'd go for a v6, the 4cyl are pretty under powered. Before I bought my pathfinder I was looking at b3000 and b4000s, seem to be pretty good trucks, though my brother (who used to be a service manager at Morrey Mazda) mentioned the 3Ls had a few problems (b3000).

Also good to keep in mind that mechanically a Ford Ranger is just a re-badged mazda truck after 1994 and you'll pay a lot less because of the domestic discount.

Actually its the other way around. Mazda sold to Ford in mid 1993, which started with the B2300. They all look like Ford Rangers :)

Most of the B series, I've found they're cheaper than the rangers.
