Hey hey fellow wrench monkeez and mudslingers. My name is Whit, and this is my first post on your site. Thanks for providing this cornacopia of knowledge and sarcasm. What a wealth of information. The correctional facility where i lurke about just got dial up. I must be short and to the point. This is costing me 2 weeks desert and 38 smokes. Not to mention a rather large and hairy chap named Stabby is waiting for the phone. I have a 98 tacoma and i want to the lock the rear. Welding is not an option. I drive it alot, and need a system which will dissengage when needed. Is an E-locker my best bet? I make a living donating blood, so money is no option. but i like the number 500 for sum reason. arb, detroit, or weld/spool are my only opinions on any locker. you said no weld so thats out, and engage disengage at anytime, so arb then, well i guess a elocker will do but i like the arb for the selectable type

its not a good idea for a high pinion to be used in the rear because the pattern is backwards and not as strong turning in that direction
