May not be a good 4x4...in fact I'm pretty sure it' wouldn't survive too long offroad, but a 4x4 nontheless

A couple of years ago, Volvo ran the dakar rally and used a volvo cross country with the portal axles of an above pictured truck put under it.

You can get a 101 shipped over from the UK not sure on the price though.

Wow that seems pretty steep Tim. I had all of our belongings shipped over here from the UK when we moved back here 4 years ago they came in a 20' container (this should be big enough for a 101 to fit in) and the cost was 2100 pounds ($4500). 101's (if you can find a good one) usually go for around 10k (pounds)or $2200 ($26000 in toal +taxes and duty).
I looked into shipping a landrover over here before I left England and all I was told I had to do was to send it to a goverment approved cleaning center then put into a container ship it and pay any duties and or taxes when it landed in Canada.
It is alot cheaper to ship from the UK rather than shipping from here I also know of a guy who ships Landrovers all around the world his site is called www.landroverman.com (http://www.landroverman.com) and he is based in Taunton (Somerset) approx 9 miles from where I used to live.
He is not the cheapest but he is or rather was the largest in the UK if you are interested checkout his site.
