any one know if a d44 front would work on a 2003 ranger?

Well,seeing how, Anything and everything works with Anything and everything, i would yes it would work on your 2003 ranger, BUT bolt pattern will be different... so you'd have to switch out the rear too :) unless yoo like that mis-matched shit

d44 from dodge ramcharger... and the rear will have to be mis matched as its a 8.8 with 31 spline axles and i dontr want to spent too much money

you need a ford front axle

early bronco dana 44 would fit the best as far as width

but a dana 44 from a 79' and older ford half ton would work good too if you got the suspension and steering from the donor truck you could re use most of it to fit your ranger. only problem is that you'd have a fullsize axle under a mini truck and you'd need some rims with lots of offset and big fender flares so the wheels arent sticking out a foot on either side

if you dont want to spend much money dont even start on it cause you will either ruin a perfectly good truck or spend way over your budget.

just the diffs, so it doesnt count :) its still a gmc for the most part

Well your dif will be on the wrong side, bolt pattern wrong, steering won't work either, not going to be free for long. Now if you can find a free ford d44 with matching 9"rear, then your talking, otherwise, plan a kinda sucks ass.

if u get the right diffs just get a explorer/ranger power steering box.
