I got a 82 SJ 1.0L I completely rebuilt new pistons, poilished crank, etc etc... a few months after the rebuild the lower timing pulley/V-belt pulley tore the woodruff key, thought it might be a freak thing, replaced it, another month later did the EXACT same thing, sheared the key and wrecked the pulleys.
want to know if anyone has come across this before.
and I've done these a thousand times, so I'm pretty sure I didn't screw it up

Not sure why that would happen but I would be inclined to try a new pulley:dontknow:

I'm gonna throw a 1.3 out soon if your interested,it ran o.k. could use
valve seals.[cheers]

I used new/used pulleys the first time, found some info on the web, going to try locktighting the pulleys&key to the crank, it'll be a bithc to get off later, but should work

I just rebuilt this one, runs awesome, does wheelies in low range, thanks though
