Fuckin crying about a bench in an 'obliterated' camp ground.

Nice pics! I like the Black and white/colourized one.

Mother Nature can be very cool at times. Glad no one was up there though.

No they are on the south end as the bridge is still out

access to the north is via mystery creek

and our nice spot should be safe and sound.....

Taken from another site.

"A massive landslide 200 meters wide and 1/2 a kilometer long has occurred at 21 mile on the Chehalis Forest Service Road. The masssive slide hit the Lake and caused a 30 foot wave to ripple down the lake destroying all three campsites along the lake edge. Chehalis Lake North Recreation Site has been obliterated."

"Its a pretty nasty slide. North rec site is almost all gone, lots of saw work to be done to access the beach again, but WOW, will the beach camping ever be nice. Sandy spots for tents everywhere, just bring a rake and shovel. Wind and cover might be a problem though, not many trees to stake tarps too... The slide is at km 31 of the Chehalis Rd. Almost at the north end. From what we could see, the mid lake site is also stripped in a similar manner, though there was not way to get to it today to check it out."
