need to adjust my linkage on my 79 cj 5 because my clutch is staying engaged now i have a vague idea of what im gonna do but and help or tips would earn ya a beer next time i see ya![cheers]

Climb under there.
You'll see a threaded rod that leads from the inner end of the bellcrank to the throwout fork that goes into the bell housing.
Undo the locknut on the rod and turn the adjuster until you have 1"-1 1/4" of freeplay at the pedal. Tighten the locknut back up.
These linkages tend to wear over time. You may find that the holes where things pivot are all worn, and the bushings in the bellcrank are worn. You can buy a bellcrank bushing kit, and weld up and redrill the holes. Or use small heim ends.
Also make sure none of the brackets, bellcrank to frame and bellhousing, and clutch pedal, are missing bolts, cracked, or bent.
