I guess you know now that that doesn't work so well hey?? Some situations there is really nothing you can do because the road is so slick. All that you can do is drive it out...or put it in the ditch.:)

Yaa... it was a sheet of ice... and if I would not have tried to shift I am sure I would have been fine.. only a ding in the bumper.. nothing bad... but WOW this snow driving is harder then it looks :confused0006:

[cheers] nope fine, prides little banged up, and I have a little sucking up to the boyfriend.

I only learned standard last month, and this is my first snow driving:dontknow: just glad I was going slow

I drive over 80km ever day getting to and from work 5 days a week... adding up the km's on logging road driving:D

At least you had the counter steer happening! :D Sometimes you gotta push in the clutch/neutral if an auto, and let it roll. I almost wiped out a diesel years ago downshifting on a snowy road. Lots of compression braking locked up the rear tires. :eek:

I took the moose pics about 7kms before I hit the ditch:dontknow: no excuse that good.. sorry to say
