I just bought the truck 2 months ago, I was told that the front fuel pump was dead, but the rear pump was replaced in 2000. I was on my way home from Langley, when it started to cough and snort on the highway, I thought plugged fuel filter. I replaced the filter at Crappy tire, it still bucked and snorted all the way home. So I think the rear pump is toast now too.
Anyways, anyone know where I can get a cheap fuel pump, I was quoted $289 for the rear, and $320 for the front from LordCo. I found the carbs at Shucks for $125, but I'm not allowed in the US.

i hate to say it but dont cheap out, unless you want to do it again!
dams @langley by-pass $377.80. also pumps last longer if you dont go below 1/4 tank. replaced in 2000 well thats 7 years almost 8, not bad.

check all your grounds on your fuel tanks.
