its more time consuming that difficult. The hardest part its any troubleshooting once its all in, getting the timing set, if you're 180 out, not getting fuel etc.

You're taking a 350 out of a Suburban and putting a 305 back in? Man, you are gonna be kicking yourself the first time you mash the pedal.

yeah i know,i just finished the swap an hour ago and its a gutless wonder
still have to time it better and adjust the carb but it was a free motor and its only a mud truck..........probably wont last past kotp anyway
heres a question??? ,will the 305 have more power with backpressure(exhaust) or open headers...........open headers is easy' and already done????
305/th400/208 and 39" tires with 3.73 it will only see 4lo and 1st

you will prolly like it better with back pressure it wont stall as easy and u can hear other truck parts breaking with a muffler on lol

Backpressure will make little to no difference in the real world on that mill. Unless it's choked right up to begin with. Mind you, exhaust affects carb tuning. I'd try and throw some glasspacks on the headers just to keep the cops happy.

this truck wont ever be driven on the road, ill stick with the open headers for now
