Havin a hard time removing a heater core from an s10, any advice?

oh man i remember doing that! you have to take off the whole dash to do it right i think. if you dont, when you try to put the new one in you will bend all the fins and it will leak anyways...

If it's just plugged up try using some acid cleaner stuff first!

done the whole straighthose shit, after working on it for a few hours trying to get the shit out, sucks if theres no defrost and heat. Any links??

Did one in my 97 Blazer. It sucked big time. You do have to take out the whole dash. At least for the 95 to 05 style. If you need some tips check out www.automotiveforums.com (http://www.automotiveforums.com) go to the blazer form and search it. The blazers and pick ups I do belive are pretty much the same dash. I use that site alot as the POS was always broken. It was so bad I sold it then went and bought a Dodge :eek:

Sell it! i'm a GM tech. There a bitch to do! Start pulling out the dash,but make sure you note where the ground wires are,miss one and shit aint gonna work.

Done many dash swaps (becuase of ICBC claims)and heater cores over the years it aint bad I can do it in under six hours.
