on a 2000 yukon how much can you adjust the torsion bars to get a little bit of extra clearence? with out making the thing unstable?

maybe like an inch , but it makes the truck have a stiffer ride , i just adjusted mine on my 4runner

Cranking the t-bars does not make your ride any more or any less stable. It just stiffens up the front suspension making for a harder ride. 1" is ok 2" is the maximum you should turn them if you want to enjoy any kind of a quality ride.;)

You can get 3" out of them,but it makes it ride like a tank and is hard on front end components. Even 2" you may need new longer shocks and you WILL need a wheel alighnment.

you can buy torsion keys to adust it better you can get 3 inches but expect a stiffer ride and put longer shocks in and get an alingment
