So i bought some new tie rod ends for my Willys. I got them installed and when i went to do my wheel alignment the tie rod end just keeps spinning in the center of the steering knuckle, I'm just guessing, but i don't think they are supposed to spin, am i correct? I needed vise grips to get it off.
well i guess you answered your own question
next time buy a pickle fork or balljoint fork and hammer into the tie rod end so it puts pressure on it then you can easily remove the nut

:dontknow: he's not making sandwiches so there's no need for a pickle fork:D

actually my biggest problem was the castle nut on the tie rod end, the threads were messed up a bit.. so i just used the nut off the old tie rod end. But i've got it all re-installed and i did my alignment, its way way better now. i probably lost about 2 inches of play in my steering, but thats between the tie rod ends and fixing my bell crank.
