seems that when I go wheeling with my buddies they like to ask me "dude, you in 4 low?" I say "yeah" then "dude, I only need 4 high for this"

then I think to myself "ummm...kay?":dontknow:

is it macho to wheel around in 4 high all the time or something?:dontknow:

I like the challenge of 2wd for most of what I do. I switch to 4lo when the engine is starting to work to hard But whatever floats your boat. :D

cuz you have small tires, and your 4:10's plus 1st gear prolly work just fine. when you put 33's pr 35's on that with the 22r you won't go any where unless you are in lo'

thats how my 1st gen was when i started.

4Low RULES. Less strain on everything, no need to rev the motor up real hard and you can usually get by in 2nd or 3rd gears if you don't have an opportunity to downshift (as shifting can be a bitch in 4x)

I personally hate the whine that accompanies 4-low, so I don't usually use it.

Either way, it's not a bragging rights thing...

Well to be honest, the sound itself doesn't bug me... It just makes me nervous as I keep thinking something is going to break.

I use 4low all the time now. First time i did some muddin in my truck I tried 4hi and it bogged the motor from 4000 to 1000 in a second:dontknow: made it out of the hole tho and my buddy got stuck right after me in that same hole:D
I use 4low and 2rd gear most of the time now.
