Funny thing about it, was about the time the fd showed up, the fire was way down. They looked around and couldn't see a big fire and left. The asshat that called should be fined. Could have been an emergancy that they couldn't attend.

I dont get it ? why would someone call the fire dept for a bonfire in the middle of a large sandy open area? whoever called them must have a single digit iq .
I could understand someone being concerned if it was in the middle of a stand of ceders or something but for crying out loud, i think Ray Charles could see that it was in a safe area for a bonfire.

I agree that the person that gave the false alarm should be given at least a reprimand and explained to them that the sand and rocks are not combustables and they are not to consume valuable resources that could be used for real life threatening emergencies .

And you call that little thing a fire Bob?

09-10-2007, 10:17 AM
I talked to someone yesterday that said there was fire trucks and ambulances racing towards the flats……was it because of a Stave camp fire?

09-10-2007, 10:50 AM
I doubt they would send ambulances out to a campfire call right away.

09-10-2007, 10:52 AM
there were no ambulances....
