Day 3 woke up to sunny skys and knew the rest of the week was going to be awesome! Nothing like clear skys sitting on top of 7000' mountains and endless views. We decided to go back up American ck to Silvercup ridge, wanted to see what the views were like without all the fog. Definitely worth while going back in good weather.

Top of American ck on Silvercup ridge. Looks a lot different with the sun out

62003

We could see up Healy creek which was another great ride we did last year. Hit just shy of 8000' on the quads on last summers trip up there.
62004

The crew
62005

Lots of rugged, near vertical peaks up here.
62006

One of the old mining trails.
62007

Parked the quads and hiked up the alpine meadow to the ridge. Thought this tree was really out of place!
62008

Top of the ridge
62009

And where we parked the quads below the rocks.
62010

A shot of the south/east end of Trout lake and the campsite area way below us
62011

Checked out some trails down to the lake and beach
62012

62013

62014

Poser pics! :D
62015

62016

Someones home away from home. Nice spot for a summer cabin, very private
62017

We found this cool quad trail not far from camp and had to check it out.
We only got about 400 yards alond it when we came to a downed tree, unfortunately we weren't armed with a chainsaw. It was really exciting turning the quads around on this narrow little trail. We ended up spinning them around by hand instead of backing down.
62018

Too bad we couldn't get passed the tree, this wide spot was only 50' past the corner.
62019

Day 4 we wanted to see more of Silvercup ridge and took the Rady ck road to the mid section of it. A view of Trout lake city at the north/west end
62020

There is a rock cairn here with a tupperware container full of notes and business cards of people who have made the ride to the top
62021

Top of Rady ck
62022

We climbed the last 50' vertical to the ridge and looked down to the Lardeau valley east of Ferguson.
62023

Didn't hit 8000' on this trip, but came close!
62024

Little lake with the trail off to the left of it where Alice Jowett's memorial site is. She's the woman who founded many claims in the area and ran the Windsor hotel in Trout lake city for many years. Lived to 102!
62025

62034

Another poser pic.
62026

Top of Copperqueen creek and the westerly end of Silvercup ridge
62027

Triune mountain
62028

Huge meadows up here, would love to bring the 800 summit back up in the winter to play
62029

62030

62031

Last view point for the day, time to head to camp
62032

I think this pic was actually taken Thursday morning about 8:00am.
62033

Stay tuned for the last 3 days of pics! [cheers]

Bruce, you gotta trade that Jeep for a quad and come out for a week or 2 of riding with us! We could use a new chef for next year! :D

We had both carbed and EFI and they seemed to run fine that high. 4 strokes aren't effected as much like a 2 stroke. The only trouble a quad had was the old 300 King Quad and it turned out the intake valve was too tight, didn't have much compression and surprised the hell out of me that it even ran at all!

South of Revy. Do you go winter or summer? I really want to head back up this winter to play in the snow. Lots of alpine meadows to ride.

Would love to see someone else's pics of that area. I know there is lots of stuff we haven't seen! That new mine, or refurbished I guess, could be seen from top of Silvercup ridge up Rady ck. Looks like it's a big operation, do you know any of the employees? Any chance of getting an underground tour? :D That would be awesome!
