Shouldn't you be working at work? :fighting0071: ...... and yes, you can trust me. :D

...actually the 440 is probably way big and heavy for the FJ. Maybe sell the 440 and get a smaller, lighter V8, 350's seem to be a popular conversion. Should be able to get a good buck for that 440 and tranny, it's new plus it's dual fuel isn't it?

Ya Duel fuel and the trany was rebuilt about 300 miles ago. The motor has about 15 miles on it.

I have that motor in the 79 camper van that has about 44 thou on it. I have to check what it is, 'cause I forgot  , but that is prob my best choice.

Enjoy the vacation Dude. [cheers]

Don't forget to redo the inner fenders to give you the room and the headers have to reach outside the frame out of the heads you might have to try a few dufferent sets to find ones that will fit properly or make them yourself

The Auqualu guys have built a ton of Cruisers with big blocks. Easiest is to use a donor running gear & frame with a big block in it & put the FJ body on it.

Check out www.advanceadapters.com for the swap options. There are none for a 440 as it is too heavy and would over-run the drivetrain, just check out the spline counts on the T-case inputs, not to mention the Birfs!! I think there is a good reason so many swap to the 350/TH350 combo.....or at least the 350 to stock tranny. I was going to do this to my 80 FJ40. Steve at www.extremebends.com has done lots of these as well(and works with Aqualu products) and to do it right....rad, motor mounts, headers, adapters, crossmembers and powersteering(Saginaw swap) ran almost $3000.00!! I know guys have done this for a lot less, hence Advance Adapters...cheaper and ya can do it yourself, they even have the headers!! Mine was too rusty!![36]
