Actually, those aren't mines, their train tunnels. The kettle valley railway used to run through that valley.

Its a nice place for exploring, Looks like a good time. I was around there on the way back from up north, Did you run into many cows? Good to see the river is open to any fishing at all. I thought it was closed the whole thing so I didnt fish it. Damn I should have checked the regs.

yeah we went into hope and asked the local fishing store what parts we can fish said it was open above the upper tunnel to fly fishing no bait and only single hook not barbed we were WAY above the last tunnel spent about 3 hours hiking up the river to where we were catching fish released almost all of them kept a couple for brekfast, there was alot of people up there fishing

First of all nice shots, looks like you had a great camping trip.
Secondly there are nicer ways to suggest that someone made a mistake. (this is directed at moretoys)

I should just stay out of this but I have read this regulations quote about 50 million times and I am feeling like a retard and I need someone to help me.

If you were indeed fishing on the Coquihalla, and those are the proper regs....the way I read it, the whole river is closed from Apr 1 to Oct 31st, but from Nov 1 to Mar 31st you can fish below the downstream entrance to the lower railway tunnel. Since this is Aug/Sept - the whole river is closed. Isn't it?:confused0006:

as an avid fisherman i have to ask
-was it open to fly fishing only? cause those were not fly rods.
-did that fish bite a bare hook? wow they must have really been biting or did you line it:dontknow:
-i also think those fish were to small to keep.

I like you and i think it is great there are more girls getting in into the sport and out fishing the guys. but i also have to stick up for what i enjoy and believe in.

umm...english? do you speak it?

just kidding, let's all relax ok. If you look at the big picture the regs are there for the long term sustainability of the fishery. Someone killing the odd fish or two now and again isn't going to decimate the population.

geez, these folks had a great outing in a beautiful area and they shared the experience with us. i don't think we should mess up their thread with fighting just because a few fish might have been killed 'out of season'
