my trucks too wide.. had this crazy idea of cutting 14" or so out of the middle and welding it back to gether... anyone herd of some one doing this? wat problums or stuff would u run intoo?seems that my truck hasa big wide flat area in the middle running from front to back..

you dont just wanna section and weld it back together ya need to a strip down the joint on the inside so ya get three welded joints to give it extra support and prevent future cracking cuz it will crack for sure if you dont no matter how good a welder you are

i seen a guy do it to a never ram like 00? it was insane.. well i guess its not the same, he made the whole truck wide like a dually, and did a SICK job... inside was insane, couldnt even tell!!

your bellys not gettin any smaller and if you take out 14inches outa the center of the truck will you still be able to sit there with a passenger beside ya???

you bet that thred looks sick!!.. mine would be simuler...lot of work .. but im lookin into it. and hey you can always squish in as many ladies as you can .. more cushion for the wheelin....hahaah

there was a cover truck about 6 years ago on Petersons 4wd mag, 76-77 Ford Bronco called the great pumpkin. Bright Orange, Body narrowed 6 inches, Mustang 302, etc, he was also repping the "all new premier power welder, well again this was many years ago. The truck looked great, looked like a 76-77 bronco with full size axles, except he could still fit through the tight rocks and obsticlas with the narrower axles, and less body damage with the slimmer body.
