i went to change out the the yokes from my old transfer case to the new one (swapping out 1310 to 1330) and found i cant get them off the old case as my 1 inch drive 1-1/4 socket has to thick a wall. works fine with the 1310 yokes . is this a special ford deal? anyone have an idea where to find a thinwall 1-1/4 socket?
This thing is driveing me nuts:fighting0071:

I had to drive through langley today so figured i would take a quick peek for a socket at PA & Force just incase they had something before i borrow one. I picked up a 6point 1/2 drive for 9 bucks so i figured what they heck . . I tried when i got home and pulled off the front no problem , I try the rear didnt apply much pressure and the threaded section of the shaft just sheared off:eek: (didnt matter as all i wanted was the yoke) anyone else ever had that happen , another neat thing about this transfer case is when i drained the fluid it was gear oil:eek: how could someone make that mistake? ATF is cast into the housing??? on a positive note it was a very nice pearled colour:D
