Great pics I am going to have to check those tunnels out. Do you have to hike to them or can you drive there?

There is vehicle access to both tunnels. the big one has a bypass that you can go down. to the lower part of the kvr and from there you can go to the other side of the big tunnel and the other way takes you to the little tunnel

thats where we stopped it was about a 10 secong walk to the tunnel entrance
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc14/Redneck_bowling/DSCN1483.jpg

Then this bypass also had no problems

and the little tunnel you can still drive through its a fun area to play around in as chute lake and elinor lake are about 20 minutes up from the big tunnel

nice shots! From either side of the big tunnel you can access Ellinor Lake FSR which is a fun moderatly challenging 4x4 drive past 2 lakes.

The legend is at the little tunnel, that chinese labourers were killed and their ghosts still haunt it. I scared many a girl with that tale we used to party up there all the time and always went up for a new years eve fire [36]

nice mustang.

Is this travis???

Cool pics! [cheers] Gotta love those old tunnels. When we ride through the 1km long Bulldog tunnel on quads, if you're standing at either end outside it sounds like a train coming through!
