58856

Tall tires and got kinda tippy

58857

Wanted....one tailgate.....tire fell out, gas can fell out, tow strap fell out...spent more time picking shit up that driving lol

Then we went and watched traffic go by, another astoundingly exciting evening in Lonesome Dove. Cruiser works good, springs a little stiff. lol. [cheers]

So Joe, you had a cherokee, I heard you got a TJ or something, now you have this cruiser.....and didn't you have a big chev somewhere in there??

Nice cruiser though - I had a 72 FJ a long time ago. thing was a tank, totally stock.

Took the top off this morning, not so bad, took two of us about 1/2 hour. Way better, quieter, no squeaks. [36]

So had to go for a cruise, found some road that ended up nowhere but it was nice and quiet.

Stopped and talked to a new neighbour, bought a lot I would have loved to get, what a view. He is building a two story place so the deck will be 10 feet off the ground. The basement is going to be his shop. What a great spot. Real nice guy too.

OK Joe you asked so this is how i did it.

First I cut out the rear section and replaced it w/ some 2X4 c-channel 3/16
58879

Notched to fit around the frame rails
58879

welded it in
58881

cut out the next section
58882

and cleaned it up
58883

welded it in place
58884

58885

58886

Tucked up nice and high
