I saw that heavy has a engine for sale i was thinkin about going with a different engine. i heard the carb'd beauties in the 84 bronco's are shit and so far i agree.. but what other options do i have for direct swap in's without too much modification and with some easy wiring, cuz i dont really know my ass from my elbow..

Will a 5.0L HO motor fit?

no but a 4.0l would bolt right in there with almost no pysical mods

I agree, that would probably be your best option, and you can pick them up fairly cheap like![cheers]

You could fit a 460 in there if you had enough cash.

and twist the thing apart with the torque it makes.

A 4.0L would be your best bet if you have some coin and time to run new fuel lines, a new gas tank and fuel pump and wiring which in the long run would be worth it, or another 2.8 just get rid of the emissions and wiring gong show, I had a durasparked one in my 85 and other then lacking low end it was a great engine, but a 4.0L will beat it anyday.

Bracing and crossmembers would be in the budget i think...
