View Full Version : Weekend at Chimmney Lake

Took the family to Chimmney Lake for the weekend.:vroam: The lake is about 20 minutes from my house, or 30 minutes from Williams Lake. The weather was PERFECT, hot and sunny. We spent the weekend swimming and watching the antics of the locals in their boats and jet skis, but what do you expect so close to town.
Caribou sky: Never a disappointment
Wound up picking a site beside a nice couple from Prince George. Had lots of shade and was right on the Lake[36]
The Lake;)
Sunset Saturday night[cheers]
Teaching the puppy to swim, carry her out 50' and let her swim back

great pics the dog looks relaxed. weird how the picnic table was put on the wrong side of the camp site. Its not like they dont know what side the door is going to be on.

Yeah that was fucking stupid wasn't it? We wound up not using it, and had no fire. It was a small site, probably meant for tenters anyway, but we showed them and squeezed our trailer in there! [cheers]

LOL! I was just up the shore from you (if you were there Friday night) - a friend has a place there and we were just visiting for the evening. We were out in the kayaks for a bit - and my 2 girls.

Nice lake and all but that campground there does become quite the gong show and you can always count on some inconsiderate @#$%^ making sure that everyone on the lake enjoys the same kind of music that they do.

Nice pictures and lake ,we may be heading back up to 100 mile area again this summer or september to check out some more areas , usually to do Hedley area but need to see more of bc

Yeah, we were there Friday and did see a couple of kayackers that evening. That music was over the top ignorant. I'm ok with people and kids having fun in their own way, but when I can't hear myself over their music AND I'm 800+ yards away from them, it gets a little annoying. Good thing they left Saturday and it was quiet the rest of the time. We drove up the road past the sites and there sure are a lot of nice cottages there.
