Well I just picked up a 1948 Jeep Willys.

rebuilt carb, master cylinder, 12volt conversion.

seems pretty nice so far. i just have to install the petals for the brake and clutch, and bleed the brakes and its ready to drive. Right now it runs great, but i haven't been able to drive it with no petals

i was thinking of lifting it already, and just wondering on suggestions for lifts.

these seem to be my options

SuperLift 2.5"
Rancho 2.5"
BlackDiamond 3"

pro/cons with the different manufactures? They seem to be all around the same price, but i'd rather take the quality over the price.

I'll post some pics this weekend when i get some time

update: well after a few months i finally decided to get the jeep drivable, it only took a few hours to install the master cylinder, install the brake and clutch petals and bleed the brakes. i was out booting around, the engine runs awesome. But it needs some new tires pretty bad.. i had a hard time trying to keep it on the road. But all in all, i cant wait till next weekend to go play with it some more.

not sure if rubicon express makes lifts for that style but if your lookin for quality they can't b beat.

the black diamond ride like shit i had there 3" in a cj had to run the tires a 20lbs to get it to ride ok ... ill see if we can find away to mod a R.E. lift kit for ur application ....

the rancho isn't as bad but still rides rough ...

don't know about the superlift never had one or driven one ....

cool jeep [cheers]

well thanks for the info. i was leaning towards a black diamond.. so if i have to i guess i'd try the superlift. but if there is a way to mod a R.E. i'd be up for it.

If it were mine and it was all original I'd restore it; but if it's been hacked into already lift it and boggers

Nice Willys either way, I want one.

I'm not to sure what i want to do with it? Its probably in good enough shape to restore, it does have some rust but its not that bad and as far as i know its all original. I was thinking of trying to find some axles with 6.17 gear ratio and just do a spring over, and just drive it like that. I'm just gonna use it for hunting and fishing mostly, looks cooler than a quad. But for now it runs fine so I'll just drive it until i decide.
