disapointing mine at grand forks. Knob hill I think it was called? Shafts and building collapsed. Fun trails around it tho. Think its a x country skiing deal.

Oro Denoro Mine by Eholt (ghost town). All shafts filled with water and none had a breeze coming out. so no spelunking too deep for me.

Kinda cool old house around midway.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h121/Highwaystarbc/Johnscelebrationadventure038.jpg

and thats all thats remotly interesting pretty much.

Vehicle 1 was an old toyota supra / celica, which still had a very clean looking motor inside, but I think those were 1.8l ? not 22r

Vehicle 2 was an ford courier. Havent seen one in years and didnt know they had the same tailgate latch system as old datsuns. kinda cool.

thanks for lookin.

This may be dumb but where is that water.. is it swimmable???

That looks like a wicked time. Do you have lots of spots like that up there?

highwaystar
07-03-2007, 05:33 PM
That area is on highway 3 probably 7 hours east of the lowermain land and about 1.5 east of osoyoos. Not way up north :D Last time I was there I actually crossed the U.S border on foot to check out an old building. I think it was the U.S border:dontknow:

Water in the biggest pit mine (pheonix) may be swimmable but there didnt appear to be much alive in it? Its hard to say, I wouldnt risk it knowing how they treated the environment back then. Than again, there is an alkaline lake east of OK falls that is the same color and nothing grows in it and Ive swam in it plenty? so who knows?

and yea, theres enough stuff up here to keep someone whos interested amused, unfortunatly noones interested and I have to go by myself [k]

Every part of B.C is awesome and interesting in one way or another tho[36]

When I was a kid, we had a ford courier (we called it the gutless wonder) Got ran over by and F250. No more gutless wonder, just a crinkled piece of red metal.
