Looking at a 78 Ford F350 dually 4x4. I know that ford was werid on dana60's. and what they were in. Got some pics and looks like a hd44? Anyone have the info on them? I would think a 78 F350 Dually would have a D60?

Any info would be great. Thanks Boys :dontknow:

is it this one?
http://vancouver.craigslist.org/car/363251389.html

all 78/79 F350 and high gvw F250's had the Dana 60 axle in the front

if it had 4 inch wide locking hubs, and kingpins, its definatly a Dana 60
hubs should look like this, ask if it had kingpins or balljoints

Also remeber that dual wheels will fit those years without any mods, unlike the '80 & up that requires the wider dually rear axle.
It could be a F-250 that someome slapped duals on.
But for the front, as posted above,
King Pin = D60
Ball Joint = D44

One exception, some early 1967 F-150's came with a drum brake King Pin D44

dont forget the HD low pinion D44 with closed knuckles, kingpins, and D60 outers. Early 70s vintage.

I have no idea how they work, but I have a program that tells me when a cookie is placed on my HDD so I can block them
