Any leaks goin into the mass airflow sensor?

it sounds like the butter fly in your air intake box were your sensor goes is sticking, try lubing it up and that might fix your problem[cheers]

mass air flow flapper and meter, good call Bruce, (Bruce has good experiences with the flapper!!!) especially on sand hills.... but even simpler, same problem happened to me, pull that intake flex hose off the manifold and stretch out the accordion part,,,,,check it for cracks....when you accelerate, your engine torques and stretches this flex hose and air seeps in, giving the mass air flow a false reading by closing the flapper, thus leaning out the mixture and shutting the truck off. this can of course cause it to not want to start...you get the pic. one last idea for it not wanting to start immediatly when hot (taking 10-15 sec of turning over), is the cold start temp sensor switch

Have you checked the CAT? Sometimes it plugs and has similar symptoms.

thanx for the info that is what i started to figure out that it was something on the line of that and no it shouldnt be the cat cause i just re did the exhaust from manifold to end
