Question for the guru's!
I have a 90 cherokee baja. I can put the 4x4 in high gear, but it won't slide down into low. It's a 5 speed manual transmission. What could be wrong? Is it just really stiff, or is it something serious! This is my first jeep, and havn't had it for very long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:dontknow:

Now this might sound like a stupid question but I have to ask because I have had customers that I have had to show this to a few times before but . . .
you do know that once you get to the 4hi position on the shifter you do have to push the shifter to the passenger side before it will go back to Neutral and 4lo

yes we did try that. it wouldn't even move to the side like it should. Doesn't make any sense to me.....
check the shift linkage on the t-case
