you gonna do some nascar shit in a 4x4? and you havnt driven many cars if a 2.9 is the slowest motor youve drove.

the 2.9 will be fine, chunks runs a sas fullwidth b2 2.9 5 speed 4.56 on 36's, i ran a 2.8 with 5.13's 36's and had it not kept blowing headgaskets, i may still have a 2.8 in the truck right now.

2.9 is a decent motor. better than a 22r or 1.3 suzuki by a long shot.

140hp & 170 ft/lbs at the flywheel. Torque peaks at something like 2600rpm FWIW

ya bud

theirs tons of people who ride with a 2.9L w/ 35's.... only thing is if your running a an 8.8.. i 'm not sure they have 4.88 gears for it... you'll most likly want 5.13's if your looking to crawl over any rocks at all... but if your just intrested in mud boggin and running through stuff a 2.9L w/ 4.56 and 35's should be fine:) just make sure you watch your clucth!! if your trying to crawl with it

motive and yukon are the ones i know of

I took a look at motives website

is it okay to match a 4.88 to a 4.89??? i know it's a small difference but idno if it'll make a difference?????:confused0006:

and couldn't find one form yukon... for a Dana 35 front

but ya i'll be picking up a set if that small difference doesn't do anything..
sweet thanks again

no 4.89 and 4.88 will not make a difference. the reason why i went with motive is because they made them for the d35 and the 8.8. yukon didnt
