View Full Version : Shop to setup my diffs in the Okanagan?

I'm in the process of pulling my thirds in order to swap the R&P. I don't want to do the actual gear install, as I'd rather leave that to the pros.
So... who in the Okanagan (preferably Penticton) can do this for me? I'd like to take it to someone with some experience with this kind of work.

Truckworks, i used to be a shop bitch there. They are excellent mechanics, and they knwo what they are doing when it comes to 4X4 shit.

I actually took my stuff in to Thunder Alley Transmission in Penticton yesterday. They were recommended by a local. I'll let you know how they work out.

those are the same guys that quoted 2500 dollars to a woman friend of mine to rebuild her rear diff in her tj. all it needed was a new carrier and and bearings. I fixed it for $100.

do not use coast powertrain. although they are good it cost me $500 for my toy 8" diff. easy set to do. no bearing to replace just drop itin and match gear patterns.
